Welcome Dean!

Q: What three words would you use to describe yourself?
A: I am curious by nature, I want to know how things work, and I try to lighten the mood through humor.

Q: What’s your favorite place to visit in Seattle?
A: Ballard – I grew up in North Ballard. I remember when Ballard was still a little Scandinavian suburb of Seattle!

Q: Tea or coffee?
A: With two little kiddos, coffee is a lifeline!

Q: What’s the one thing you can’t live without?
A: My family…I have a wife, 4-year-old girl, and 2-year-old boy who are the center of my universe.

Q: What inspires you?
A: Being around good people who genuinely care about making things just a little bit better.

Q: How did you first hear about Skilljar, and what interested you about the company?
A:  I first heard of Skilljar during my job search. What interests me most is how Skilljar can transform the traditional approach to learning and onboarding within any size organization. It is a flexible platform, which can eliminate the need for constant “busy work” and allow an organization to do more with the same staffing.

Q: Describe your last experience with online learning.
A: My last experience with online learning was a mandatory compliance class through LexisNexis. It was an interactive video geared toward corporate security policies. The video was well constructed, easy to follow, and added value.

Q: If you were going to offer a course online, what would it be about?
A: My course would be titled “What to Look for When Buying a Home.” Buying a home is huge investment, which can cause anxiety and stress. My focus would be to show you as the home buyer how to be more educated in all the inner workings of a home and how to identify red flags.
