Q: What three words would you use to describe yourself?
A: Curious – Pragmatic – Adventurous
Q: What’s your favorite place to visit in Seattle?
A: Pacific Science Center – I love science!
Q: Tea or coffee?
Q: What’s the one thing you can’t live without?
A: Music (former piano player, long time lover of hip-hop, funk, soul, and classical)
Q: What inspires you?
A: I’m inspired to create and learn simply because I want to have an understanding of how things work. It's satisfying to gain a perspective on the sheer volume of collective effort a team or individual puts into a project.
Q: How did you first hear about Skilljar, and what interested you about the company?
A: I first heard about Skilljar through AngelList. I’m a huge believer in e-learning and I’m excited that Skilljar is doing its part to modernize educational resources.
Q: Describe your last experience with online learning.
A: I recently graduated from a web development bootcamp where e-learning was heavily used. I’m a huge fan of e-learning because it allows students to become more independent and manage the pace at which they ingest the content.
Q: If you were going to offer a course online, what would it be about?
A: I’d offer a course on outdoor rock climbing safety. I’ve been an avid climber since early 2014, but its been mostly indoors. As I’ve been yearning to venture outdoors more and more, I’m finding that the resources to do so in a safe manner are scattered across a number of different places.
