Q: What three words would you use to describe yourself?
A: Thoughtful, kind, intuitive
Q: What’s your favorite place to visit in Seattle?
A: Nectar Lounge for really good live music
Q: Tea or coffee?
A: Decaf coffee (lame - I know, I know)
Q: What’s the one thing you can’t live without?
A: Good movies with buttered popcorn, red vines, and diet coke.
Q: What inspires you?
Q: How did you first hear about Skilljar, and what interested you about the company?
A: I was newly back in the PNW and I had 4 criteria I was using to find my next professional home:
- Cool product that I would want to use in my own organization
- Cool people to work with
- Early stage startup
- Located in Seattle
I started researching startups on Angel.co and I found Skilljar. I reached out to Sandi, we met for coffee, and the rest is history! I'm elated to be coming to work for the first (and only) company I picked out!
Q: Describe your last experience with online learning.
A: It wasn't good. Project delays and waiting customers were stressing out a lot of people. Vendor will remain anonymous, as will the team implementing it ;-). As for personal online learning - that would be my attempt at learning Spanish with Rosetta Stone. Turns out, I need instructor led.
Q: If you were going to offer a course online, what would it be about?
A: How opposing traffic is supposed to manage a left turn at a four way stop sign. This seems to be a lost art.
