As part of this growth, our customers are expanding their reach globally, and looking to create the best training experiences in local languages for their customers.
Today, we’re happy to announce the launch of Language Packs, a new feature that will allow companies to better cater to their international audiences.
Providing Training in the Customer’s Language of Choice
Language Packs allow students to navigate a training portal in their language of choice. At launch, we will offer support for 7 new languages, in addition to English:
- Portuguese (Brazil)
- Chinese (Traditional)
- Chinese (Simplified)
We can also easily expand this available language set based on customer needs.
This feature will enable our customers to provide a more immersive experience for students in their native languages. Customers have full control over what languages are displayed on the training portal. Languages and specific text strings can be customized, so that the voice and tone of the training portal aligns with the company’s brand.
When a student first visits the training portal, she can self-select from a list of available languages, and all text strings that are defined by Skilljar will be displayed in that language. The training portal then remembers the student’s selected language and displays it when the student returns to the portal at a later time.
Skilljar’s mission is to be Customer Training Platform of choice for fast-growing companies worldwide, and this new Language Pack functionality will help us better serve companies with international audiences.
