# Content Planning Map: A Template for Training Teams

Training content too often focuses on features and delivers a disjointed experience that doesn’t result in knowledge retention. Rather than looking at small tasks, we recommend focusing training content on goals that you want your students to achieve.

When you start thinking about creating content based on these goals, you’ll naturally move to understanding what smaller activities will lead a student toward achieving them. The chart below can help you identify all of these activities and define what content you already have available, as well as what new content needs to be created.
